Arrested for making fake death certificate of Haryana CM: UP police caught 5 including State Coordinator, said – did not know, Manohar Lal is Chief Minister

UP Police has disclosed the issue of fake death certificate of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar from Uttar Pradesh. The mastermind of this entire game turned out to be the State Coordinator of the Birth and Death Statistics Section. He had made this fake certificate to earn money. UP Police has arrested 5 accused in this case.

Sonbhadra’s ASP Tribhuvan Nath Tripathi said that on February 2, 2023, fake death certificate registration number D/2023.60339-000021 was issued in the name of Manohar Lal’s son Harbansh Lal. In this case, the birth-death data assistant Manoj Kumar of the office of the Chief Medical Officer had given a complaint to the police. Police registered a case at Pannuganj police station and started its investigation.

These accused were arrested
After registering the case, the police arrested Prashant Maurya, Monu Sharma alias Shivanand Sharma, Ansar Ahmed, Mohammad Kaif Ansari and Yashwant, a contract employee in the birth-death statistics department. 4 laptops and 7 mobiles have been recovered from their possession.

This is how it was revealed
When the police started the investigation, it was found that Yashwant, the state coordinator on contract, used to give the ID and password of the CRS portal for issuing birth and death certificates. He also gave the password to these accused, after which their mobile numbers were registered on that ID. Due to which the accused also got OTP while login. With its help, they do the work of making birth and death certificates. Money is received on each certificate.

The accused said – Manohar Lal was not known to be the CM
In police interrogation, the accused told that after login with the password given by the State Coordinator, we do the work of issuing birth and death certificates. Money is received for each certificate. We were sent details on WhatsApp for issue of death certificate of Manohar Lal s/o Harbansh Lal r/o 719 New Premnagar Post Premnagar Karnal Haryana Pin- 132001 on 2nd February.

Which we made and forwarded on WhatsApp. We were not aware that we have made this fake death certificate of the Chief Minister of Haryana. When it came to light, we canceled it at the same time.
