There has been a new twist in the dispute between Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and wrestlers. Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik have questioned the Oversight Committee of the Sports Ministry.
According to sources, his displeasure is over the inclusion of wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt in the inquiry committee. Yogeshwar Dutt had recently raised questions about the role of Sakshi Malik and the way the wrestlers got the action done. At the same time, the Sports Ministry has claimed that the committee has been formed only with the consent of the wrestlers.

What objection did the wrestlers raise against the committee?
Vinesh and Poonia tweeted together at 3 pm on Tuesday while Sakshi tweeted alone at 3:40 pm. All three wrestlers tweeted the same message. All three wrote- We were assured that we would be consulted before the formation of the Oversight Committee. It is very sad that we were not even consulted before the formation of this committee.
All the three wrestlers also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur in their tweets.
2 reasons for Yogeshwar Dutt being an important member of the inquiry committee
1. Yogeshwar in both the inquiry committees: Two inquiry committees were formed in the case of sexual harassment on the wrestling association president. The first committee was formed by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). Which is headed by Mary Kom. It stars Dola Banerjee, Alaknanda Ashok, Sahdev Ashok and Yogeshwar Dutt. The second oversight committee is from the Union Sports Ministry. Its head is also boxer Mary Kom.
