Apple iPhone 14 Hits BIS Certification Website In India Ahead Of Launch

With the Apple iPhone 14 series launch slated to be held less than a month away, a new Apple device has been spotted on the Indian certification website Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) which is purportedly the iPhone 14. However, according to the BIS listing, it is not clear if the moniker is of the upcoming vanilla iPhone 14. The Apple iPhone model that has been listed on BIS bears model number A2882.

According to reports, Apple is likely to hold the iPhone 14 series launch event on September 7, which is a bit earlier than usual. The Cupertino, California-based tech giant is likely to unveil iPhone 14 mini, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max next month.

Why is Apple launching iPhone 14 series launch earlier than usual?

Apple is also likely to unveil its Watch Series 8 and other products and services on September 7, as reported by news agency Bloomberg, which is a few days ahead of the previous schedule. According to famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, announcing and shipping the upcoming iPhone 14 series as soon as possible is likely to minimise the impact of recession risk on demand. He added that recession is still growing and unpredictable. Apple would be announcing the iPhone 14 series earlier than the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineup.

Meanwhile, Apple, for the first time, will ship the India-made iPhone 14 simultaneously with the China-made iPhone models in the second half of 2022, Kuo had said earlier this month. Apple is slated to launch the new iPhone 14 lineup in September.
