Apple has one big launch event left before the year ends and it involves the Macs

Apple iPhone 16 launch is done but the company has one big launch event left for the year which might happen in the next few weeks. Here’s what we can expect.

The iPhone 16 series is unlikely to be Apple’s last big product unveiling for 2024 and reports more or less hint at the M4-powered MacBooks rolling out in the next few weeks. We have seen the company organise an event in October where the new MacBooks are announced and it could happen again next month, going by the Bloomberg report on Monday.

Earlier reports have suggested that Apple is going to revamp its MacBook Pro lineup, as well as a redesigned Mac Mini, both of which will use the new M4 silicon. There will be new iMacs, a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro, high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros and Mac Minis, all featuring M4 processors. We expect the company to share the official event teaser in the coming days.

MacBook Pro M4 Series: What To Expect

Talking about the M4 chip, the company launched the chipset along with their new iPad Pro model at their Let Loose event earlier this year. It uses TSMC’s (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited) advanced second-generation 3nm process promising enhanced performance and efficiency.

While the processor is currently available in Apple’s most powerful iPad Pro, it is expected to appear in the MacBook Pro and iMac models by the end of this year, making it more powerful and efficient.

Bringing the new M4 processor to the Macs will invariably increase its price but we don’t see the jump being too steep from what the MacBook Pros already cost in the market.

In addition to the MacBooks, we might also see a new and fresh Mac Mini model at the event next month. In fact, Apple could remove all the USB A ports and replace them with USB C ports for connectivity and other purposes on the new 2024 Mac Mini version.

It has also been suggested that the 2024 Mac Mini will be Apple’s smallest model in the market but still packing enough power innards to run apps and the advanced AI features from the company. It could also feature an aluminium casing that gives it a premium design and probably making it lighter than its predecessor.
