PM Modi, at a Maharashtra poll rally, slammed Congress for its support to Article 370 resolution in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday tore into the Congress at a Maharashtra poll rally stating that if the grand old party is strengthened, the country will be weakened and left helpless.
“Congress knows that the weaker the country, the stronger the party will be. And when the Congress will be strong, the country will become helpless. That’s why Congress pits different castes against each other,” PM Modi said while addressing an election rally in Akola.
“The Congress did not let the SC-ST and OBC unite. They played different games and wanted them to fight with one another. They know that by doing this, their voice will be divided and their votes will also be divided which will pave the way for the Congress government,” the Prime Minister reiterated.
PM Modi calls for SC unity
PM Modi called for the SC unity and warned that Congress wants to take “advantage” of their differences and divisions.
“If you don’t remain united and be divided among your own castes, Congress will take its advantage and snatch the rights of the SC community. Congress will form its government by weakening the SC community,” he said.
He reiterated yesterday’s ‘Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai‘ call and said that the people will have to be aware of the “dangerous game” by Congress.
“You have to be cautious of Congress’ dangerous game. You have to remember ‘Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai’,” he said.

PM Modi on Article 370
He lambasted the Congress over its Article 370 stance and said that the party is attempting to restore it in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Congress wants to push Jammu and Kashmir back to violence by restoring Article 370. Article 370 will never be restored. Who are these people who want to restore Article 370? All separatists, terrorists, and anti-India forces support Article 370, and this has become Congress’ stance too,” he stressed.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came in reference to a resolution passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly this week seeking dialogue for the restoration of special status to the UT. All parties, including Congress and barring the BJP backed the resolution.
Maharashtra will vote in a single phase on November 20 and the counting will take place on November 23.
