Another arrested for the murder of a kabaddi player in Jalandhar – Henry Club

Jalandhar Rural Police on Wednesday arrested one more person in connection with the murder of an international kabaddi player. Sandeep Singh Nangal Ambien. With the latest arrests, the total number of people arrested in the case now stands at five.

Sandeep Singh was shot dead on the evening of March 14 during a kabaddi tournament at a playground in Mallian Kurad village of Nakodar.

The police arrested the accused on Wednesday as Yadvinder Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Police also recovered two pistols and a car from the arrested accused.

SSP Jalandhar Rural Satinder Singh said that Yadvinder Singh is brother-in-law of another accused Simranjit Singh alias Jujhar, who is already in jail. According to the police, after the murder in Jalandhar, Yadwinder had arranged for the five shooters to stay in Amritsar along with weapons.

The police had earlier arrested four accused Kaushal Chaudhary, Amit Gagar, Fateh Nagri and Simranjit Singh in connection with the conspiracy to kill Sandeep at the behest of three kabaddi promoters Snowar Dhillon, Jagjit Singh and Sukhwinder Singh Sukh. A total of 12 people have been named by the police in this case.
