Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who will direct Prabhas in his next, was spotted at Tirupati temple.

In 2023, Sandeep Reddy Vanga scored a huge hit with Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. The film raked in over Rs 900 crore worldwide, marking a career high for both the actor and director. Recently, Sandeep was spotted at the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh, where he offered prayers. Fans who met him there noticed he had shaved his head as part of a religious offering. Sandeep wore a blue kurta with a pink scarf and happily posed for photographs with fans. When asked about his next project, he mentioned Spirit, starring Prabhas.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has been making headlines for several reasons ever since its release. Even though the film did well at the box office, it has been accused of glorifying misogyny and toxic masculinity by many. Released on December 1, Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. The film shows Ranvijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father, including gun down 200 people with machine gun.

Meanwhile, during the pre-release event of Vishwak Sen’s Gaami, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared an exciting update about his next film, Spirit. He announced that shooting for Spirit will begin towards the end of 2024 and the news was met with a lot of hoots from the audience. That apart, Pinkvilla reported that Prabhas will play the role of an intense young cop in the film, which will maintain Sandeep’s trademark style without compromising on intensity. Production designer Suresh Selvarajan also revealed that Spirit will be even bigger and grander than Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

After the massive success of Animal, fans are eagerly waiting for the film’s sequel, Animal Park. However, if a recent report is to be believed, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal 2 might bring bigger surprises for audiences. Recently, Instant Bollywood reported that the director is likely to get Vicky Kaushal on board for the sequel of his blockbuster movie.
