Amid a surge in the novel coronavirus cases registered in Karnataka, the state government issued an order on Friday stating that all symptomatic close contacts of novel coronavirus patients should be tested for the infection. As of Thursday, Karnataka has 479 active novel coronavirus cases in the state.
According to ANI, In view of the current COVID-19 situation, Karnataka government says all symptomatic close contacts of Covid patients should also be tested.
Given the current Covid-19 situation and with Omicron subvariant J.N. 1 being reponed in Karnataka, the state said, “Testing forms the basis for early detection of Covid-19 and initiation of early treatment to the patient. As a matter of precaution, it is advised that along with the targetted testing norms issued earlier, all symptomatic close contacts shall also be tested for Covid 19.”
