Akhilesh ‘Babua’ was gaming, ‘bhai-bahen’ holidaying & Maya ‘bua’ nowhere amid pandemic: Yogi | India News – Times of India

PRAYAGRAJ: Taking jibes at the opposition leaders on Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adtiyanath said that “Babua” (Samajawadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav) has been doing nothing for the masses during the pandemic but playing games on his smartphone while “Bhai-bahen” (Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi) were enjoying holidays in Italy and “Bua” (BSP chief Mayawati) was nowhere to be seen.
“It was the BJP who helped the masses. Those who opposed the Covid vaccines were actually against the welfare of the poor and masses,” said Yogi while addressing Jan Vishvash Yatra at Manjhanpur in Kaushambi on Sunday.
First targeting the SP, he asked the public if the party people were seen during the pandemic. “Bahut saare longo ki bachpan ki khelne ki aadat nahi jaati aur ‘Babua’ abhi bhi smartphone per chote bacchon wala khel khalte rehte hain, unko janta ki parwah nahi hai corona kaalkhand mei (There are many whose childhood habit of playing doesn’t go away like Akhilesh who still plays kids’ games on his smartphone; he doesn’t care about the masses even during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic),” he said, adding even the BSP or Congress leaders were nowhere to be seen serving the people.
Referring to the previous SP regime under Mulayam Singh Yadav, Yogi asked those who “fired bullets on ‘ram-bhakts’ would have ever constructed Lord Ram’s temple at Ayodhya, or the Congress or Bua. “It had to be some ‘Ram bhakt’ (devotee of Lord Ram),” he answered himself.
“In pre-2017 governments, Ram bhakts were given bullets while we (BJP) construct temple for them; earlier Kawad yatras were stopped and now we shower flower petals on them; earlier it was poor management at Kumbh mela, there used to be stampede at Prayagraj, and now people talk about ‘bhavya Kumbh-diwya Kumbh,” he said, targeting the Hindu sentiments in the poll-bout state.
He added that his government had fulfilled all its promises. “We had said that there would be zero tolerance on the issue of criminals and mafia. Do you all agree that the BJP has done well on this front,” he asked the cheering crowd, which replied in “yes”.
The CM then raked up the issue of the recent seizure of huge cash from the house of a Kanpur-based perfume businessman, saying this is the same money, which should have been used for “your welfare prior to 2017”. “This is what happens when the funds, meant for the welfare of the masses, go to the pockets of corrupt politicians. Today income tax department is digging it out from the walls of the houses of businessmen close to these politicians.”
