Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that it has been confirmed that the airspace rules were not violated by Myanmar on 10 and 11 January.

The border area has not been violated in the air campaign run by Myanmar. On Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement regarding the Myanmar bomb blasts on the Mizoram border. Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said it has been confirmed that airspace rules were not violated on January 10 and 11.

He also said that on January 10, a bomb fell in the Tiyau river bed on the Indo-Myanmar border. We have taken up this matter with Myanmar.

Myanmar claims to have dropped the bomb
A week ago, Lalramliana, president of the Farkawan village council in Mizoram’s Champhai district, claimed that a bomb was dropped near the Tiau river on the Mizoram side. A truck owned by a village council member was damaged in the blast when it was carrying river sand, he said.

Myanmar front against Chin National Army
According to media reports, Myanmar’s jet fighter bombed Camp Victoria, the military headquarters of the Chin National Army (CNA). The CNA is supporting pro-democracy protesters against the military government.
