Aditya Thackeray, son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of inciting riots in the state. In Hyderabad’s Geetam University, he said that the definition of our Hindutva is very clear. We do not believe in BJP’s Hindutva. We don’t burn people alive because of what they eat. If this is the Hindutva of the BJP, then it is acceptable neither to me, nor to my father, nor to my grandfather, nor to the people of Maharashtra. The Thackeray faction leader further said that in 2014, the BJP had backstabbed the then Shiv Sena.

Regarding the Ram temple, the leader of the Thackeray faction said that the Ram temple in Ayodhya is not being built because of the central government. If you think so then you are thinking wrong. The Supreme Court has given the order to build the Ram temple, not the central government.

The BJP backstabbed the erstwhile Shiv Sena in 2014

Aditya also accused the BJP of backstabbing the then Shiv Sena in 2014. He said that I am a Hindu and was a Hindu when BJP broke the alliance with Shiv Sena in 2014. The BJP had backstabbed us in 2014.

BJP is inciting riots in the state today. What about Kashmiri Pandits? Why is the world’s biggest Hindutva party not speaking about Kashmiri Pandits? Who are demanding transfer from Kashmir to safer places, while Kashmiri Pandits are still being killed?

Aditya further said that if BJP was so careful about my grandfather’s ideology, they would not have tried to destroy the party formed by my grandfather.

Eknath Shinde is not a threat to our party

On the question of who among Eknath Shinde and BJP is the biggest threat to his party, Aditya said that he does not think that Eknath Shinde is a threat at all. He further said that we have no personal dispute with BJP.
