Adani Group has postponed the Integrated Cargo Terminal (ITC) project at Ahmedabad Airport. According to sources, information is coming to the halt as a result of the situation created after the Hindenburg Report in January. The staff related to the project have also been given leave.

On the other hand, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport’s spokesperson claims that the ITC is functioning and the staff is on duty.

Prior to the Hindenburg Report developments, the work of the ITC was going on in full swing. Although it is not yet clear when it will start. The work of developing a fast track terminal on a plot with an important location of the Airport Authority of India worth crores of rupees was going on, which is hanging in the balance.

ITC was to start in June
Adani Group’s plan was to start ITC from June-2023. The structure of the terminal has taken shape, but the project has been stalled since the day the Hindenburg Report came out. Right now the air side project is going on at the airport i.e. from where they have to get the arrival from airlines and passengers.

Last year, Adani Airport Management had said that the first phase of ITC at the airport would be operational from June-2023.
