The terrorists fired from close range
According to the police, Sanjay Sharma, a security guard of a bank, was fired upon at close range just 100 meters from his house in Achan area of Pulwama district at around 11 am on Sunday, which hit him in the chest. Passengers took him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. He was cremated on Monday in his native village in Pulwama.
Firing on security forces during search operation
The police officer said that after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists, a search operation was conducted by cordoning off the Padgampur area of Pulwama. According to the official, the operation turned into an encounter after the hiding terrorists opened fire on the security forces. He told that the security forces also retaliated, in which the terrorists were killed.
