Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel (CM Bhupesh BaghelIn the meeting of the Council of Ministers held today i.e. on Thursday, the proposals for determination of special incentive package for investment in steel (sponge iron and steel) industries were approved. To encourage the establishment of mega and ultra mega projects in Chhattisgarh, this decision has been taken under the state’s Industrial Policy 2019-24. It is worth noting that with this decision, 91 institutions for setting up steel based units in Chhattisgarh will get the benefit of special incentive package under B-spoke policy for the units to be established under MoU with the state government in the past. There is a wave of enthusiasm among the investors due to this move of the state government.
According to the proposal approved in the cabinet meeting, 91 institutions have already executed MoUs with the state government for setting up steel based units. With the establishment of these units, investment of about 49 thousand 115 crore rupees and direct employment of about 57 thousand 566 people is expected in the state. According to an estimate, with the establishment of these units, the state is likely to get additional revenue of about 50 thousand crore rupees in the next 10 years. It is noteworthy that in the past, a special incentive package was fixed for 10 units. Whose investment is Rs 4274 crore and employment is possible 5515.
Chhattisgarh to become manufacturing hub of electric vehicles

Offering several financial incentives to EV manufacturers, Chhattisgarh Electric Vehicle Policy 2022 has been approved today. This policy was implemented in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday itself. During this, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Chhattisgarh will become a manufacturing hub of electric vehicles and its accessories in the coming times. Unlimited employment opportunities will also be created for the youth. With the implementation of EV policy in the state, buyers of vehicles as well as manufacturers and people doing research and development will also get benefits. Electric vehicle manufacturers will also be given exemption under the electric vehicle policy.
