Accident in Jharkhand: Bus carrying 45 pilgrims collided with truck, three killed

A bus carrying 45 pilgrims collided with a truck in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district on Monday. At least three people were killed and a dozen others were injured in the accident. Police gave this information.

A senior official said that the accident took place when a bus rammed into the rear end of the truck at Patitiri turn of Gorhar police station area. Barhi Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nazir Akhtar said the pilgrims were coming from West Bengal and were on their way to Gaya in Bihar.

The driver, assistant and a passenger died in the accident and a dozen others suffered minor injuries, he said. After first aid at the Primary Health Centre, he was sent to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital in Hazaribagh.
