Absconding Accused Of Truck Loot & Murder Case Arrested | Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: In a major breakthrough, the Lanka police and crime branch personnel caught the absconding accused Dharmendra Kumar Bind alias Dhoni, who was involved in a loot and murder case, near a dhaba in Ramna area on Wednesday.
According to reports, acting on a tip-off, the police raided the place and arrested Dhoni, a resident of Durgaganj area in Bhadohi district. The police have recovered an illegal pistol and a live cartridge from his possession.
Earlier, two other accused including the mastermind Rajesh Bind alias Ketai and Amrit Lal were arrested by the Bhadohi police on January 7 and 3, respectively. Rajesh, who carried a reward of Rs 25,000, was wanted in 49 cases of crime in Bhadohi, Jaunpur and Prayagraj district.
They had looted a truck loaded with 12,090 kg cashew nuts after killing the driver Om Prakash Patel near Daphi toll plaza on January 1. Later, the Bhadohi police recovered the truck with the goods near Kandhiya phatak Dhanapur crossing on January 3 and arrested Amrit Lal Yadav.
