After the Aam Aadmi Party’s bumper victory in the assembly elections in Punjab, the party’s victory procession in Amritsar on Sunday was special in many ways. At the same time, there are allegations of misuse of government staff in making it successful. Along with this, there are also discussions that all the expenses of the victory procession have been borne by the government of the state. After this, leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, including Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal, are on the target of the opposition. During this, roadways buses were used to take people to the road shows.

Newly elected Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has raised a finger on the victory procession of Aam Aadmi Party. On his Twitter handle, he has also shared a letter issued by the Punjab Government. In this letter quoting the Chief Secretary, all the District Magistrates along with the Special Secretary Revenue have been ordered to spend money for the arrangements.

Khaira has tweeted this letter from the Chief Secretary.

It is written in the share letter on behalf of Khaira that the MLAs of the new government and the future Chief Minister are going to do a road show in Amritsar. For this he sent 15 lakh rupees to the Deputy Commissioner Amritsar with immediate effect. The Chief Secretary has ordered in the letter that Rs 2 lakh each should be deposited in the account of the Deputy Commissioners of all the 23 districts of Punjab for the arrangements for the road shows. It was also written to Secretary Transport to arrange buses for the workers going for road shows. Commissioner Municipal Corporation Amritsar has been asked by the Chief Secretary to help during the roadshow.

misuse of roadways buses

It was also alleged that the elected MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party used roadways buses to go to the road shows. PRTC buses carrying people from different districts of Punjab to Amritsar were parked at the Ranjit Avenue Ground in Amritsar. After the roadshow, the buses returned with the people of their respective cities.

Different numbers are coming out regarding buses. According to sources related to the transport union, about 720 buses have left for the workers of the Aam Aadmi Party rally in Amritsar. While some officials said on the condition of anonymity that about one thousand buses have left for Amritsar from different districts. Meanwhile, some employee leaders said that due to lack of money in the treasury to put oil with Roseways, buses have been sent to Amritsar after getting diesel from private pumps.

Khaira said – misuse of government money

Khaira, who was elected Congress MLA from Bhulath, raised the question that this is sheer misuse of government money. On the one hand, Punjab has a debt of three lakh crores on its head and from above for its publicity, the government machinery along with the government exchequer is being misused. In a tweet, Khaira alleged that the roadshow was purely political and was done to promote the party. All this is unbearable. Tagging Arvind Kejriwal, he said that people’s money should be deposited in the government’s treasury immediately.

In another tweet, Khaira said that he used to think that the Aam Aadmi Party would work separately according to its promises. They even started misusing the government machinery before assuming power. You are misusing transport for road shows. By doing this the party has proved that there is no difference between the traditional parties.
