Junaid Khan has signed two films already.
Aamir Khan said that Junaid did not ask for his help and neither did he offer to help out his son.
Even though Aamir Khan’s son Junaid has till now stayed away from the limelight, he recently caught everyone’s attention when his photo from a shoot went viral on social media. Earlier this week, celebrity photographer Avinash Gowariker took to his Instagram handle and dropped a picture of Junaid from one of his recent photoshoots leaving the internet in a frenzy. As Junaid is stepping into the world of glitz and glam ahead of his debut, Aamir’s Khan recent interview about nepotism has surfaced on social media.
Speaking to ABP news, Aamir said, “Voh nepotism nahi, ek tarah ki bewakoofi hai ki ap usko le rahe ho jo kaam theek nahi jaanta hai aur usko chod rahe ho jo kaam jaanta hai. Usko main nepotism nahi bolta. Usko main bewakoofi bolta hoon.”
He added, “Mera beta hai Junaid. Usne abhi pehli film ki shooting complete ki hai. Iske pehle voh 15 dafah reject hua hai. Voh alag alag jagah, acting aur theatre seekhne ke baad, alag alag jagah gaya kaam maangne. Mujhse nahi maanga kaam, aur na maine usko bola ki main usse kaam doonga.”
Aamir said, “Voh gaya casting directors ke office main aur voh bahaar wait karta tha. Jab usko chance milta tha, voh audition deta tha. Audition deke voh fail hota tha. Usko koi role nahi mila. Ultimately, usko ek role mil gaya.”
The actor said, “Ab voh mera beta hai, main 10 jagah phone kar sakta tha. Meri yeh personal belief hai ki agar aap kaam jaante hain toh aapko koi nahi rok sakta aur agar aap kaam nahi jaante hain toh aap kuch bhi haath pao maar lijiye, kuch nahi hoga.”
Following his passion for acting, Junaid Khan started with theatre in August 2017 with director Quasar Thakore Padamsee’s adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s ‘Mother Courage and Her Children’, a biting satire on the absurdity of war. Since then, the actor has followed his passion and improved his craft. He is now all set to enter Bollywood with YRF’s Maharaj. Besides this, he has also signed his second movie wherein he’ll be seen opposite Sai Pallavi. However, not many details about this project are known as of now.
