Bhavanipur Swimming Club witnessed a terrible fire late at night. It is known that the fire broke out at 10 o’clock yesterday night. 8 fire engines reached the spot to bring the fire under control. Ministers Arup Biswas and Sujit Bose went to the spot after receiving the news of the fire. Area councilor Kajri Banerjee also reached there. However, no casualty was reported in the fierce fire. The fire was brought under control after a long effort by the firemen till late night.
It is known that the locals noticed the fire around 10 pm. Through the darkness of the night they could see the flames. By that time, the trees around the club were on fire. Immediately after that, the fire brigade was informed about the fire. Incidentally, there is a gym inside Bhavanipur Swimming Club. In addition, there are various indoor games in the club. Gyms and other indoor game rooms are made of wood and tin. It is said that the fire spread quickly due to this reason. However, the fire department could not give a clear answer as to what exactly caused the fire. An investigation into the incident has started.
