A night duty failure gang in signal and telecom department

Vadodara Railway Division’s DRM Jitendra Singh has instructed Senior DSTE Ashwani Kumar to take necessary initiative to form Night Duty Failure Gang in Signal and Telecommunication Department. DRM gave this instruction on Monday on the demand of Indian Railway Signal and Telecommunication Union (IRSTMU). On July 24, 2023, under the leadership of General Secretary Alok Chandra, the delegation of the union met the DRM and informed about 23 points related to the demands of the employees.

This demand letter has also been handed over to Senior DSTE Ashwani Kumar. On the question of DRM, IRSTMU General Secretary Alok Chandra Prakash told that their demand for establishment of Night Duty Failure Gang has been going on for a long time. This is a matter related to safety and the union wants that its compliance should be done as soon as possible. After this DRM immediately talked to Senior DSTE Arvind Kumar and asked him to prepare its draft.

The national vice-president of the organization, Kalpesh Parvatiya, demanded the training of SC and ST employees in JE’s LDCE examination from the instructors of STTC Sabarmati and to spare them for the whole 21 days. Mr. Kalpesh told that S&T construction staff is not getting any kind of safety items like safety jacket, rain court, safety shoes, winter jacket etc. On this the DRM assured of appropriate action.

IRSTMU Divisional President of Vadodara Circle Shyam Singh ji told the DRM about the failure of all the candidates in the JE Tele exam of Ranker Quote, and said that B List candidates should also be given a chance. General Secretary Alok Chandra demanded that the newly appointed assistants/helpers should be given initial training like the employees of other departments.
