They were demonstrating outside the CM House regarding the lack of management in the coaching institute. Actually, on June 15, there was a fire in the Sanskriti Coaching Center of Mukherjee Nagar area.

On June 15, a fire broke out at 12 noon in Gyana Building near Batra Cinema in Delhi. Sanskriti Coaching Center was running in this building. To save their lives, the students came down from the third floor of the building with the help of a wire. Some had saved their lives by jumping from windows. 70 students were injured in this accident.

According to news agency ANI, 61 people were admitted to 3 hospitals for treatment after the accident. Out of which 50 were discharged. During the accident, 200-250 students were present on the spot. Initial investigation revealed that the fire broke out in an electric meter installed on the ground floor of the building.

Delhi High Court sent notice to Government and MCD, also called for reply from Fire Brigade
On June 16, the Delhi High Court itself intervened in this matter of fire. The High Court had sent notices to the Delhi government, State Fire Service, Municipal Corporation and local police asking them to explain by July 3.

In the case, the High Court had also directed the fire service department to conduct a fire safety audit of coaching institutes, incidents of fire in coaching centers. On June 19, the District Inspector of Schools had issued notices to 54 coaching institutes running without fire safety arrangements in Noida and Greater Noida. In the notice, instructions were issued to all the centers to register within two days.

District School Inspector Dharamveer Singh had told that under the Uttar Pradesh Coaching Act, it is necessary to register in the District School Inspector’s Office of the concerned district to run coaching. It is also mandatory to take No Objection Certificate from the Fire Department for registration.

The coaching centers to which notices have been sent are running without registration in the Secondary Education Department. In such a situation, there is doubt on the NOC of their fire department.
