Anurag Kashyap Says He Needs To Make Film Remakes For Aaliyah’s Wedding

New Delhi: Aaliyah Kashyap recently got engaged to her fiancé Shane Gregoire, and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has commented that he will need to remake numerous movies to be able to throw her a ‘wedding soirée’. Anurag shared on Instagram on Sunday that Aaliyah ‘threw a total curveball’ while he was on his way to the Cannes Film Festival.

Anurag posted a photo of himself on Instagram as he and his buddies were seated in a room. He was wearing a black shirt, matching blazer, and trousers. The director was caught looking at his phone in the picture. Anurag captioned the post, “@cinemakasam is pissed off saying, ‘yahan to phone chhod do (leave your phone here)!!’”

“Unaware that I am calculating the number of remakes I will have to do to throw a wedding soirée, because my dearest @aaliyahkashyap and her beau, my lovely @shanegregoire threw a total curveball at us in the middle of our @festivaldecannes journey of Kennedy by announcing their engagement,” he added.


Aaliyah Kashyap announced her engagement with her longtime boyfriend Shane on Instagram on Saturday. She also shared photos of the day of her engagement. Aaliyah appeared for the photographs in Bali, Indonesia while wearing a patterned outfit. In the first photo, she showed off her diamond engagement ring, and in the final shot, she gave Shane a kiss.

The caption read, “Soooooo this happened!!!!! To my best friend, my partner, my soulmate and now my fiance! You are the love of my life. Thank you for showing me what real & unconditional love feels like. Saying yes to you was the easiest thing I’ve ever done & I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love. Aaliyah Kashyap is a social media influencer who shares videos on her YouTube channel and promotes several labels on her social media platforms. Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap is in France for the premiere of his film Kennedy at the Cannes Film Festival.
