After the rally was over, the Congress party tweeted on its social media handle – Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s strong message to 6.5 crore people of Karnataka. Congress will never let the credibility, sovereignty and integrity of Karnataka come under fire.

On this statement, a BJP delegation led by Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav, Jitendra Singh and party leader Anil Baluni met the Election Commission on Monday and demanded action against Sonia Gandhi. Party leader Tarun Chugh told – Sovereign is a nation, not a state.

He said that Sonia Gandhi has insulted the constitution of the country by talking about sovereignty. We have demanded a direction to the Election Commission to register an FIR against him. Sonia Gandhi should publicly apologize to the country. Now the Election Commission has written a letter to Sonia Gandhi asking her to clarify or rectify her social media post.

The Congress party had shared this on its social media handles.

PM said- Congress is advocating separation of Karnataka from India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said on this tweet of the Congress at a rally in Nanjangud, Mysuru on Sunday – In this election, now the royal family of Congress has said that they want to protect the sovereignty of Karnataka.
