Chhattisgarh Budget 2023: Monthly Allowance To Unemployed Youth, Focus On Metro, Sports & Infra

Chhattisgarh Budget: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday tabled the state budget in the Chattisgarh Assembly for the financial year 2023-24. The CM, who also handles the financier portfolio, announced a monthly allowance of Rs 2,500 to the educated unemployed youth of the state in the 18-35 age group who are registered under the employment bureau.

The budget also proposes a metro line project between the state capital Raipur and Durg. CM Baghel announced a hike in the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers from Rs 6,500 to Rs 10,000.

A provision of Rs 85 crores has also been made for the development of a 700-bed integrated hospital building at Dr. BR Ambedkar memorial hospital in Raipur, the CM announced.

Rs 5 crores have been allotted for the establishment of mobile medical units in remote areas of the state.

  • Propose to increase the amount in Social Security Pension Scheme by 43 per cent to Rs 500 per month.
  • Rs 2,800 per month for sanitation workers employed in schools.
  • Allocation of Rs 3,238 crore under Awas Yojna for houses in villages.
  • Rs 500 crore has been allocated for the construction of roads in the state.
