Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed today from Hiranagar in Kathua district.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed on Sunday from Hiranagar in Kathua district in Jammu amid tight security. After a break on Saturday, the yatra started from Hiranagar at 7 am under the leadership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. After the blast in Narwal on Saturday, the investigating agencies have issued a security alert. NIA team has reached for investigation. On the other hand, LG Manoj Sinha has called a high level meeting.

Carrying the tricolor along with J&K Pradesh Congress chief Vikar Rasool Wani, working president Raman Bhalla and thousands of workers, Rahul Gandhi crossed the Londi check point at 8 am. The yatra has entered Tapyal-Gagwal in Samba district. The Jammu-Pathankot highway has been sealed due to security reasons.

Police, CRPF and other security agencies are keeping a close watch on the yatra.

During the yatra, workers and supporters waiting outside the road on both sides gave a warm welcome to Rahul. In-charge General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that there can be no compromise on the issue of security of Rahul Gandhi. This is our top priority. We will follow whatever the security agencies say.

Today the journey will run 25 kilometers
Today the yatra will reach Chak Nanak after covering a distance of 25 kms, where there will be a night halt. On Monday, the yatra from Vijaypur in Samba will again leave for Jammu. Adequate security arrangements have been made for Rahul Gandhi, officials said.

LG Manoj Sinha called a meeting
LG Manoj Sinha has called a special meeting today following the blast at Narwal on the outskirts of Jammu city on Saturday. Officers of security agencies including SSP will also participate in this. Will take information about the LG blasts in the meeting. On the other hand, a team of NIA has also reached the blast site for investigation.

On Saturday, the first blast took place in Mahindra Bolero and the second in Chevron Cruise.

Two blasts took place in Narwal area on Saturday, in which 9 people were injured. Police suspect that an IED was used for the blast. The terror attack comes at a time when security agencies are on high alert in the area in view of the Congress visit and Republic Day. After these blasts, security has been increased in the whole of Jammu and Kashmir.

The yatra will end in Srinagar on January 30.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra march started from Kanyakumari on September 7 and entered Jammu and Kashmir from Punjab on Thursday night. The yatra will end in Srinagar on January 30 with the unfurling of the national flag at the Congress headquarters by Rahul Gandhi.
