A food delivery boy who jumped from the third floor to escape a dog attack in Hyderabad died on Monday. He was being treated at the Nizam Institute of Medical Science (NIMS).
The matter is of the night of 11 January. Shobhana, who lives in Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad, had ordered food from Swiggy. Delivery boy Rizwan reached the given address with the food. When Rizwan was delivering the parcel to Shobhana, his pet German Shepherd dog attacked him. Rizwan ran to the terrace to avoid the attack of the dog, but Doggy also followed him to the terrace of the third floor.

Shobhana called out to the neighbors for Rizwan’s help and herself ran after the dog, but by the time Shobhana reached the terrace, the delivery boy had jumped from the third floor to escape from the dog. Due to which he was seriously injured. He had a head injury.

Banjara Hills Police Inspector M Narendra said that the injured Rizwan was a resident of Sriramnagar area of Yusufguda. Rizwan’s brother Mohammad Khwaja lodged a complaint against Shobhana in the police station on January 12. A case has been registered under section 336 (causing hurt by negligence). Rizwan did not regain consciousness after the incident.
