Baghel said – BJP landed on buying votes: Congress claims – money in helicopter and liquor being carried in ambulance during election campaign in Himachal

Devendra Heta/Shimla4 hours ago

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which has kneeled in Himachal, is using money power to win the elections. Money is being carried in helicopters and liquor in ambulances in the state. These allegations are of Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, who was appointed Senior Election Observer for Himachal by the Congress High Command.

In a special conversation with ‘Dainik Bhaskar’, Baghel alleged that BJP has already conceded defeat before the elections, so now money power is being used as a weapon to buy votes. However, this is not going to benefit because the voters of Himachal are educated and aware.

Bhupesh Baghel claimed that the Congress’ electoral strategy was successful in the Himachal Assembly elections, while the BJP failed. For this reason, 21-21 rebels of BJP are in the fray and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has to make calls to persuade the rebels.

Baghel said that the call made by PM Modi to Kripal Parmar, who is contesting the election from Fatehpur seat, revolting against BJP, also exposed the claims of BJP in which BJP keeps on trying to separate from other political parties. In a democracy, it is unfortunate for a candidate to be prevented from contesting elections like this. Read the excerpts of Bhupesh Baghel’s conversation with Dainik Bhaskar…

Bhaskar: There are allegations against you and the Rajasthan government for spreading lies regarding the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). What is the truth?

Baghel: Is.

Bhaskar: The Central Government has refused to give the deposited contribution of the employees of Chhattisgarh to NPS. If the Center will not give money, then how will your government be able to give pension to the retired employees?

Baghel: OPS has been implemented. The main thing is that the 17 thousand crore rupees deposited by the employees of Chhattisgarh in NPS with the central government have to be withdrawn. Our government wrote a letter but the Center refused. However, the reason has not yet been given as to why it is not being given. The central government cannot stop the money of the employees.

Bhaskar: Congress is alleging use of money power in elections. What is its basis?

Baghel: BJP is using money power fiercely in Himachal elections. When we went to Haroli 3 days ago, it was found that the cash was being brought by helicopter. Alcohol is being carried in an ambulance. BJP leaders are losing elections, so they have come down to use money to buy votes.

Bhaskar: From the PM to the CM of BJP ruled states and all the Union ministers are doing aggressive campaign in Himachal? Why does Congress look backward?

Baghel Congress has also done an aggressive campaign in Himachal. Congress workers are our star campaigners who have reached door to door with 10 party guarantees.

Bhaskar: BJP leaders are holding 3 to 4 rallies in a day whereas Priyanka Gandhi does one rally in 3 to 4 days. Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi kept demanding more rallies but it did not happen. Why?

Baghel: See, the State Congress Committee and the strategists made the strategy of Priyanka Gandhi’s rallies. Priyanka’s programs were decided under a foolproof strategy. By the way, Priyanka ji is here in Shimla and she has said that she is ready to organize as many rallies as she wants.

Bhaskar: BJP’s election campaign organized was visible. Its national president Nadda and other big leaders kept campaigning door-to-door. Congress leaders on the other hand are limited to press conferences?

Baghel: Look, our strategy was successful. We were able to reach out to the masses. Our issues reached the youth-women-employees in the streets of the city-village. BJP’s election strategy failed. 21 of its leaders are contesting the elections as rebels. The rebels are not agreeing even after the Prime Minister’s call.

Bhaskar: Congress has promised to give 1500 rupees per month to women. On the other hand Himachal already has a debt of 66 thousand crores. To repay the old loan, you have to take a new loan. So how can you fulfill the guarantees?

Baghel Don’t talk about just one issue. I said people’s income should increase. When income increases, purchasing power will increase. If goods are sold from the shop, then the wheels of industries will also spin. When there is more buying and selling, the tax will also come to the government more. This tax money will roam around and reach back to the people.

Bhaskar: PM Modi is calling the rebels of BJP. How accurate do you think it is?

Baghel: This means that their talk of ‘Party with Difference’ is propaganda. What they used to say about being separated from other parties is a lie.

Bhaskar: There have been allegations of breach of promise on Congress in Himachal?

Baghel: This means that BJP has nothing to say because it has not done anything in five years. Therefore, apart from criticizing the Congress, he is unable to say anything.

Bhaskar: What were the big issues in the Himachal Assembly elections?

Baghel Inflation, unemployment and development are major issues. The promises made by BJP in 2017 were not fulfilled in 5 years. People’s expenses are increasing and income is decreasing. The prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas and edible oil are skyrocketing. GST has been imposed on food items like milk, cheese and flour. Congress leaders are going to the public with this issue.

Bhaskar: In Himachal, the Congress could not raise the issues like police recruitment paper leak, unemployment and inflation in an aggressive manner?

Baghel: There were so many movements. These issues raised from the assembly to the road. They are discussed everywhere. In the states where BJP is in power, whether it is MP, UP, Himachal or Haryana, paper leaking and selling is common.

Bhaskar: How important will Himachal results be before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections?

Baghel: Certainly the election results of Himachal will have an impact on the whole country. This is important for Congress as well.

Bhaskar: How satisfied is the Congress with the Election Commission’s stand against Himachal DGP Sanjay Kundu?

Baghel: Congress had complained to DGP Sanjay Kundu. Congress expected fairness from the Election Commission but it did not happen. regret it.
