The police are reeling after a horrific robbery at a gold shop in Dankuni. According to sources, the robbers came on bikes. Meanwhile, they were trying to escape by taking the bus after dropping the bike. But the last defense did not happen. With the help of residents, the police nabbed them in Khatur area near Goghat in Arambagh. Bags full of gold jewelery were recovered from them. Three people have been arrested so far. A search is on for the rest.
How was the infamous bandit caught? According to sources, the police identified some of the robbers in the CCTV footage. A massive search was then launched on all possible escape routes. Nose checking also started. The CID is also active. Meanwhile, the miscreants were trying to escape via Arambagh bus, possibly through Jharkhand. There was also a bag full of gold. But they were somehow recognized by the locals. A policeman also recognized them. Residents surrounded them as they got off the bus. And by that time other police have also come to the area. Police recovered gold and firearms from them.
A local resident said that they got off the bus. They had bags. We also get it. Then the police came. Police say the bag has items worth crores of rupees. We left the robbers behind.
