Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is visiting Gujarat today in view of the upcoming assembly elections. Rahul reached Ahmedabad around 12 noon. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was also seen with him on the stage. Rahul Gandhi addressed about 52 thousand booth level workers of Congress at the riverfront built on the banks of Sabarmati river here. In his address, he promised to waive the loan of Rs 3 lakh of the farmers of Gujarat if the Congress government is formed.

Rahul Gandhi announced to provide 300 units of electricity free and gas cylinders for Rs 500. Along with this, he also promised compensation to the families of those who died of Corona. He said- More than three lakh people have died due to corona in Gujarat. But, the state government did not provide any help to the families of the deceased. But, if our government is formed, we will give a compensation of Rs 4-4 lakh to the families of those who died of corona. Apart from this, we will also give employment to 10 lakh youth.

BJP makes his biggest idol on one hand, but works only against his ideas. BJP brought 3 black laws for those farmers for whom Sardar won. BJP snatched the rights of farmers. So the farmers have started agitation against the government. If Sardar Patel had been there today, whose loan would have been waived first, of farmers or industrialists.

Press conference in 32 cities
On the other hand, Congress will hold press conferences in 32 cities today regarding the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Under the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ starting from September 7, a 3,500-km long padyatra will be undertaken in 12 states and two union territories and will be completed in about 150 days. However, the schedule of this entire journey has not been released yet.

First list of candidates likely to be released
In the meeting with the state leaders, Rahul Gandhi will discuss about the selection of candidates and after that the first meeting of the election committee of the Congress will be held. Screening committee meeting will also be held on the same day. It is planned to declare the list of candidates by 15th September. The names of 30 to 40 candidates are expected to be announced in the first list.

Last time Rahul came to Gujarat on 10th May
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi last visited Gujarat on 10 May. During this he addressed the tribals in Dahod city. Party leaders said that this time he would mobilize booth-level Congress workers for the upcoming elections, thus launching the party’s election campaign. Gandhi’s visit to Gujarat is taking place two days before the start of the party’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on September 7.
