SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal.

There is a ruckus in Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). Questions are being raised about the monopoly of the Badal family on the party. The lobby demanding a change in the party leadership is getting stronger. In view of this, party chief Sukhbir Badal has formed a 5-member disciplinary committee. Whose chairman has been appointed as former minister Sikander Singh Maluka. Sharanjit Dhillon, Virsa Singh Valtoha, Mantar Singh Brar and Dr. Sukhwinder Sukhi have also been kept in this.

The Akali Dal said that every suggestion for the strength of the party is welcome only on the party platform. Indiscipline will not be tolerated. No such act will be tolerated which is harmful to the party, sect and Punjab.

Ayali, who has a rebel attitude, said – wants the strength of the party
Apart from MLA Manpreet Ayali, who is showing rebellious attitude in Akali Dal, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Jagmeet Brar are constantly meeting other leaders. Ayali, who reached the house of senior leader Nirmal Singh Kahlon, said that our only agenda is how to strengthen the Akali Dal. Soon his delegation will meet party chief Sukhbir Badal and will inform him about the suggestions of the workers.

The ruckus intensified after the Jhunda committee report
The Akali Dal had to face defeat in the assembly elections for the second time in a row. All the heavyweights including 5-time CM Parkash Singh Badal and party chief Sukhbir Badal lost. The Akali Dal had formed a committee under the leadership of senior leader Iqbal Jhunda to investigate the defeat. The report of which was presented recently. The Akali Dal claims that there is no talk of changing the party chief. Sukhbir Badal as the head dissolved the entire executive body of the party.
