The condition of Sher Shah Suri Marg NH-44, the country’s longest national highway connecting Delhi to Lahore, has become very bad in Panipat city of Haryana.

This road in front of Babarpur Mandi has become completely dilapidated while crossing the GT Road of the city while going towards Karnal.

The soil has sunk from many places on the side of the highway. Due to which the National Highway has been broken.

Alam is that standing on the service lane and looking up towards the highway, a big hole is seen in the way. A service road is visible from the highway when viewed from the hole. All this has happened due to the rains that occurred between August 1 and August 5.

The condition is that the road is constantly crumbling. But NHAI is not paying any attention to this at the moment. Toll tax is being charged for walking on this road. But no work has been done to repair the road.

Due to the submergence of the soil of the National Highway, on one hand the traffic on the highway is being affected. At the same time, the soil from the side has gradually reached the service road. Due to which slippage and water logging is increasing there.

Due to this, the risk of accidents on the service road is also increasing continuously. Due to the negligence of the officials of NHAI and Highway Construction Company, traveling in the rainy season is the most troublesome.

The load of vehicles on National Highway 44 is continuously increasing. Because from here about 1.5 lakh vehicles pass daily from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat and other states.

Four toll plazas have been set up in the state of Haryana alone to collect toll tax from these vehicles. But the attention is not being paid to the convenience.
