Arpita’s Jangipara house contractor claims Rs 5 lakh due for construction of house

About 22 crore rupees were recovered from his flat. At least a dozen flats were found in his name in Kolkata and suburbs. A general contractor claimed to have received Rs 5 lakh from Arpita Mukherjee. Shrikant Aru, the contractor of the house, made such a claim standing in front of Arpitadevi’s newly built house in Jangipara, Hooghly on Tuesday.

Four months ago, Mamabari Arpitar in Dilkash Gram Panchayat in Jangipara, Hooghly. Arpita built a one-story house there four months ago. Srikanth took the quote of building that house for 15 lakh rupees. Srikanth gave Rs 10 lakh to Arpita during the construction of the house. Allegedly, he still receives Rs 5 lakh from Arpita.

Srikanth said that madam said that she will pay the remaining amount only after the work is done. It has been almost 4 months since the work was completed. But I didn’t get the money. I called Arpitadevi’s cousin Kuntal last week asking for money. Kuntal said to me annoyed, why are you calling for money? You will get money on time. Now what will happen to my 5 lakh rupees?

On the other hand, one of Arpita’s aunts said that Arpita has made a bunker under the ground in the newly built house. Praudhar claims that a mason told him that. He speculates that money may be kept in that bunker as well.
