The cases of monkeypox are increasing continuously in the country. Its cases have been found in Kerala, Delhi. Now a suspicious case has also been found in Bihar. Due to this strict scrutiny is being done at airports in these states. There is also an alert regarding monkeypox in Uttar Pradesh.

Those coming from abroad in Delhi will be sent to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital if they find symptoms of monkeypox. This decision has been taken by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena on Monday after the first case of monkeypox was reported in Delhi. The Delhi government has ordered the district authorities to keep a close watch on monkeypox.

A team of 20 people has been prepared
According to media reports, passengers with symptoms like high fever, back pain and joint pain will be sent to the isolation ward of LNJP Hospital at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. A team of 20 people has been prepared to see the patients.

Apart from this, samples of suspected patients will be sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune. While the district administration will quarantine the family members and there will also be contact tracing of such suspected patients.

LNJP was also made a Kovid Center
A 34-year-old man has been infected with monkeypox in Delhi. He is undergoing treatment at LNJP. The government has made LNJP hospital the nodal centre. Doctors are being trained there.
It was made a Kovid Center from March 2020.
At the same time, PTI said that even after WHO declared monkeypox as a global health emergency, no decision has been taken yet to increase the number of doctors at airports.

Monkeypox alert in Kerala too
So far three cases of monkeypox have been reported in Kerala. Health Minister Veena George has said that international travelers will be required to undergo thermal scanning at airports to check for high fever or other symptoms of monkeypox. We have vaccination facility in all 14 districts, we have made our health department staff, especially dermatologists aware. Nothing to worry, but everyone should be careful.

Orders to prepare beds for patients in UP
The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday ordered the administration to reserve all Covid hospitals in the state for monkeypox. However, no case of monkeypox has been reported in the state so far. The government has taken this decision after the decision of the Delhi government.

Suspected patient is being investigated in Bihar
The first suspected patient of monkeypox has also been found in Bihar. The woman is a resident of Gurhatta area of ​​Patna City. The team of PMCH’s micro virology department has reached the patient’s house to collect samples. All the symptoms of monkeypox have been found in the woman. The Health Department is treating this case as suspicious. That’s why it is being investigated. The travel history of the woman is also not known yet. So far 4 patients of monkeypox have been found in the country.
