Teacher suspended for asking question to Union Minister: Called Bhagwant Khuba about fertilizer; Accused of making the audio clip of the conversation viral

The education department of Karnataka on Sunday suspended a school teacher. The teacher spoke to Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Bhagwant Khuba over phone regarding the supply of fertilizer. The teacher is accused of recording this conversation and making it viral. Describing it as an irresponsible act, the state government has taken this action.

Teacher Kushal Patil is a resident of Hedapura village in Bidar district of Karnataka. His father is a farmer. Actually, an audio clip of him is going viral on social media. There is a conversation between Kushal and Union Minister Khuba. First, Kushal is asking questions to the minister on the lack of supply of fertilizers. On this the minister says that he cannot do anything about it.

Threatened the minister, said – will not be re-elected
After this the Union Minister says that he has already sent fertilizer to the states. He then asked Patil to approach the local MLA. Patil then became enraged and challenged the minister to seek votes from his village, saying that he would not be re-elected from the Bidar Lok Sabha constituency.

Minister advised to go to MLA and officials
Further the minister says, ‘I am a minister under the Government of India and look after the states. You should go to your MLA and officials. After this the teacher made the audio clip viral. Then an inquiry was launched in the matter and a preliminary report was submitted by the local Block Education Officer.

The report said that the teacher deliberately recorded the telephonic conversation and acted irresponsibly by making it viral on social media platforms. After this the teacher was suspended.

Teacher Patil’s cleaning
According to reports, Patil says that he has been punished for asking for fertiliser, as he is from an agricultural family. He had to face trouble last season due to lack of fertiliser. That’s why he had to ask the Union Minister, as he belongs to his constituency.
