Staff members of Concorde Day Care Center accused of illegally restraining children – Henry Club

Investigators say two staff members at a New Hampshire day care center violated state rules when they used corporal punishment to discipline children. A report released by the State Child Care Licensing Unit details some of the incidents that reportedly took place at the Woodside School location on campus. of St. Paul’s School in Concord. The report alleges that two staff members were seen hugging children in an attempt to control their behaviour, an action that violates state rules for child care centers. Another example was when a former staff member allegedly grabbed a child by the shirt and yelled at the child, which also violates state and school rules. The staff member was promptly fired in January for that action, and now, the state said Woodside is bringing in a child psychologist to consult with employees about appropriate intervention, abuse and neglect. News 9 has reached out to the Department of Health and Human Services and Woodside for further comment, but has not heard back.
