LUDHIANA: Two persons tested positive for Covid, while there were no deaths due to the virus on Monday. A day before, eight persons had tested positive for Covid.
Health department officials said that since no Covid deaths of Ludhiana District was reported on Monday, the total number of deaths of the district remained at 2277 whereas 1125 out of district/state deaths have been reported in Ludhiana Hospitals till now.
The health department said that till date 33,68,170 suspects have been tested for Covid in Ludhiana District. It added that whereas two persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid, none from other areas tested positive for the disease on Monday.
Local health department officials said that till Monday total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 1,09,745 whereas the number of cases from outer districts/states increased to 14,729.
Civil Surgeon said that till now 1,07,434 Covid positive patients have recovered in Ludhiana District which constitutes 97.89% of the total cases.
