saikia: Bjp Chalks Out Plan For Protests Next Month | Ranchi News – Times of India

Ranchi: BJP’s national in-charge for Jharkhand, Dilip Saikiaon Wednesday huddled the office-bearers from the party’s Jharkhand unit to draft a state-wide agitation plan against the Hemant Soren-led coalition government.
Saikia, an incumbent Lok Sabha MP from Assam, directed the party’s state unit to orchestrate protests and demonstrations against the government at district, subdivision and block levels from next month onwards.
Though the dates of the statewide protests were not finalized, BJP sources claimed that the party will hit the streets after the conclusion of the ongoing Budget session of the state assembly, which will end on March 25. “Corruption will be one of the central themes of our protests against the government. Through these protests, the BJP will hit the streets in a massive way after two years. All this while, there were political programs here and there, but they were of a low-key nature due to the pandemic,” a BJP functionary, who attended Saikia’s meeting at the party office on Wednesday morning, told TOI.
Besides corruption, the BJP will connect with the youth on the issue of unemployment at colleges and universities. Deteriorating law and order and increasing LWE activities will also feature in the protests, the party said.
“We will expose to the people the real face of the Hemant Soren government. This government is allowing anti-national forces to rear their heads. It is also indulging in appeasement politics, against which we will continue to protest,” Saikia was quoted in a statement issued by the BJP after the meeting.
BJP’s legislative party leader Babulal Marandi told the gathering that the party will also hit the streets against the Soren government’s inability to take a stand on the residents’ policy.
