A 53-year-old man died after being stabbed outside a asda The police have named the supermarket.

Ian Kiran of Redditch, Worcestershire was stabbed to death outside a supermarket on Jinnah Road at around 7.20 pm on March 8.

West Murcia Police said a formal identification was yet to be made and officers were offering help to Kirwan’s family.

After searching the area last night, six ‘youths’, all from the South Birmingham Kshetra, was arrested on suspicion of murder and remained in custody.

Two more youths from the South Birmingham area were also arrested on charges of murder today.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: ‘Safe neighborhood officers have increased patrols in Redditch and will maintain a highly visible presence in the coming days.

‘Anyone who was in Asda’s area at the time of the incident and saw, or captured the dash cam, anything that could help the authorities is asked to contact him.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called to an incident on Jinnah Road last night at 7.19 pm.

‘Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and two Midlands Air Ambulance critical care cars were present at the scene.

‘On arrival we found a male patient whose condition was critical.

‘Ambulance crews provided advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became clear that nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead on the spot.’
