Bhubaneswar: The special squad of the commissionerate police on Thursday arrested a man for allegedly passing off as a CBI officer and cheating two persons of Rs 70,000. The accused was identified as Nikhil Swaina resident of Cuttack.
A man from Tamando area here recently lodged a complaint against Swain for duping him of Rs 40,000 on the pretext of giving him a job in the airport . “During investigation, we came to know that Swain was a fraudster. He had also taken Rs 30,000 from another man on the promise of giving him a government job,” a police officer said. tnn
