Varanasi: The coronavirus pandemic situation is gradually improving in Varanasi district with more recoveries and reducing number of active cases of Covid-19.
According to the daily medical bulletin, out of 5,160 test reports, 155 persons tested positive for Covid-19, while 265 patients including two in hospital facilities and 263 in home isolation were declared cured on Friday. However, 10 patients were admitted to the hospital on Friday, increasing the number of hospitalised patients to 26. The district recorded 3% positivity rate and 87.73% recovery rate. Currently there are 1,475 active cases of Covid-19 in Varanasi.
Jaunpur district reported 42 new cases of coronavirus infection and 46 recoveries on Friday. However, two Covid patients died in the district. Currently, Jaunpur has 290 active cases of Covid-19.
In Chandauli district, 18 persons including four women and 14 men tested positive for Covid-19, while 48 patients were declared cured on Friday. The samples of 1,494 people were collected for testing. Currently, there are 155 active cases of Covid-19 in Chandauli.
