Most of us would’ve crossed this saying, “Animals are more affectionate and caring than humans”. That is, if we love animals, animals will love us twice as much. Proving it right, one such incident that happened in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram will showcase how faithful the four-legged animals are.

Kennedy hailing from Cholan Street in Villupuram, initially did not accept a cat that had sought refuge in his home during the pandemic period. As it came repeatedly, Kennedy and his family decided to adopt the kitten and has been raising it affectionately for over two years, that his family treated the little animal as one of the family members.

Owing to neighbors persistent complaints that they could not bear the pranks of the cat, Kennedy was upset and the situation had forced the family to abandon the kitten. Thus, Kennedy decided to leave the cat and couple of weeks ago he took it to Thalavanur village which is more than 15 kilometers away from the place.

Anguished of abandoning the kitten, Kennedy again went to Thalavanur village in search of the little animal. But, the cat was nowhere to be found. After almost 15 days, to his surprise, on January 9 when Kennedy came out of his home in the morning, he was overwhelmed with joy of seeing his kitten lying on the doorstep. ‘With tears of joy I hugged the cat close to my chest. We have two children, but this kitten is also a part of our family’, Kennedy said. He added that his family is happy right now and not going to give up on the cat anymore. The incident has caused resilience among the neighbors.
