JAIPUR: The state on Wednesday reported 23 new cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, taking its tally to 69.
As per the health department, four of them have a history of foreign travel while three came in contact with foreign travelers. Two of them came in contact with people from other states.
Among the new Omicron cases, highest 10 have been reported from Ajmer, nine from Jaipur, two from Bhilwara and one each from Alwar and Jodhpur districts.
A health department official said that of the 46 omicron cases reported earlier, 44 have recovered so far.
“Chief medical health officials of the districts where omicron cases have been found, have been directed to trace them and get them admitted to dedicated Omicron wards,” an official said.
