Omicron’s first case found in Goa

At the same time, a 48-year-old man has been found infected with Omicron in Manipur. This person has returned from Tanzania to Imphal a few days ago.

Omicron records 63 cases in a single day in Delhi
A record 63 new cases were found in Delhi on Monday, which is the largest number of new Omicron patients found in a day in any state in the country. The total number of Omicron infected in the national capital now stands at 165.

Maharashtra is the worst affected state by Omicron
Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron cases. 26 new cases were found here on Monday, due to which the total number of patients increased to 167. Gujarat is at number three with 73 cases among the states most affected by Omicron. At the same time, Kerala is on the fourth position with 57 cases. Apart from this, 24 new cases were reported in Gujarat, 12 in Telangana, 3 in Rajasthan, 3 in Uttarakhand and 2 in Haryana on Monday.

Omicron’s first case found on December 2 in Karnataka
The first case of Omicron in the country was found in Karnataka on 2 December. Here two foreign nationals were found infected with Omicron. After Karnataka, Omicron knocked in Gujarat. A person of Gujarat origin who returned to Jamnagar from the African country Zimbabwe was found Omicron positive. After Gujarat, Omicron reached Maharashtra and within 25 days made its knock in 21 states / union territories.

In view of the rapid spread of Omicron infection in the country, it is being said that we are standing at the mouth of the third wave of Corona. In fact, health experts say that symptoms are not clearly visible in most Omicron infected. In such a situation, it is also being feared that many cases of Omicron have not yet been caught.

Center extended restrictions related to Corona till January 31
In view of the threat of Omicron, the central and state governments have become alert. The Center has extended the restrictions related to Corona till January 31, 2022. The Union Home Ministry said that these guidelines are strictly followed, it will be ensured by the states and union territories. In this, the local and district administrations have also been asked to take steps related to containment, if needed.

Night curfew in many states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh
Before the new year, state governments are also taking steps regarding restrictions on movement and crowd. States like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana have implemented night curfew. At the same time, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called a high-level review meeting regarding Corona today.

Currently 75,456 active cases of corona in the country

In the last 24 hours, 293 infected people died, taking the total number of deaths to 4.80 lakh. Treatment of 75,456 corona patients is still going on in the country.
