Beyond Mumbai city and Pune, the film is running in close competition with ‘83. Interestingly, in a few theatres the Hindi version of ‘Pushpa’ is earning more than ’83. While COVID restrictions continue, ‘Pushpa’ Hindi is expected to rake in a good collection in the Gujarat / Saurashtra circuit this weekend. While the numbers are going to drop overall but the Hindi version of this Allu Arjun starrer is sure to be a huge hit thanks to its glorious run in Maharashtra and Gujarat markets.
‘Pushpa’ is originally a Telugu-language action drama, which has been released in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages. Starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead, this entertainer is written and directed by Sukumar. The film released on December 17 and a section of the audience had taken objection to a particular romantic scene in the movie. The sequence in question featured the lead actor touching his love interest’s chest in a public place. It raised eyebrows as the gesture was not liked by the Telugu audience. The ‘van scene’ or ‘tiffin scene’ was discussed online by Allu Arjun’s fans and following the uproar, the makers have decided to chop off the scene.
