Omicron variant at risk for Christmas and New Year parties in Mumbai
In Mumbai this year too, the fun of Christmas and New Year parties can be gritty. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has become alert in view of the increasing threat of Corona’s new variant Omicron. To prevent corona infection, BMC has decided to keep an eye on overcrowding in hotels, restaurants, crowded places (Marine Drive, Gateway of India, beaches) and malls including Christmas, New Year parties.
During Christmas and New Year, BMC will team in every ward who will monitor the corona protocol. If there is any violation of Corona rules, then this team will take action against it. A BMC official said that during Christmas and New Year, we have got orders to keep a special watch on hotels, restaurants and beaches. For this, a special team will be formed, which will keep an eye on hotels and restaurants. Action will be taken if complaint is received.
According to the BMC, only those people who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed in public places including public transport. Full vaccination of all employees working in public places, establishments as well as all employees present in programs or functions is mandatory. Action will be taken against the establishment if the rule is found to be violated.

Danger in France, appeal to take vaccine dose
France has appealed to people to take a dose of the vaccine in view of the Christmas holidays as cases of corona virus increase. Seeing the threat of Omicron in the country, the government is once again avoiding imposing a lockdown. PM Jean Castex said, the fifth wave has come to the country and it has come here in full force. US court approves order for mandatory vaccines for employees
A US federal appeals court has approved President Joe Biden’s order requiring private employers to give employees a dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine. This order will apply to companies in which 100 or more employees work. About 8.4 crore workers will come under its purview. Employees who do not get their full dose of vaccine will have to wear masks and undergo weekly corona check-ups. The Sixth Circuit Court, by a vote of two to one, overturned a separate federal court’s decision that had stayed the enforcement of the order.

12 new cases in Telangana

BMC increased strictness

Guidelines issued in Nepal regarding Omicron
In view of the threat of Omicron in Nepal, it has been made mandatory for foreign travelers coming from 67 countries to stay in hotel quarantine for seven days at their own expense. After the negative report of Corona comes after seven days, the person with the positive report will be sent to the Government Quarantine Center to stay in the home quarantine for an additional seven days.
