Shahrukh Khan’s debut film Deewana completes 29 years

As the superstar completes almost three decades in the industry, he expressed how overwhelmed he is with the love of fans and also promised to give them something in return.
Taking to Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Was working. Saw almost 30 years of love’s ‘overwhelming’ showering on me here. Felt it more than half a life in service of hoping to entertain you all Will take the time tomorrow and personally share some love back. Thx need to feel the love.”
In the 1992 film Deewana, Shah Rukh played the role of Raja Sahay with actress Divya Bharti playing the role of Kajal. The film also starred Rishi Kapoor, Amrish Puri, Mohnish Behl, Alok Nath, Dalip Tahil and others. When Deewana fell on Shah Rukh’s lap, he did not have dates for the film as he was already shooting for four other films. Producer Guddu Dhanoa told Pinkvilla, “I got the shock of my life when he said he didn’t have dates. He had some 4 films in his kitty and was already a star before the release of Deewana.”

He adds, “I asked him to listen to the script just once and then move on to the dates. He heard it and loved it. Luckily, the 35-day schedule of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman was canceled and that time. In duration, he completed the shooting of Deewana. The film for which he did not have dates, was his acting debut. That is destiny.”
Guddu also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was paid Rs 1.50 lakh for Deewana.
Shahrukh Khan has been away from the big screen for a long time. They were last seen together in Aanand L Rai’s 2018 film Zero Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. After the covid lockdown, the actor has now returned to the shooting of his upcoming film Pathan. Taking to his social media, Shah Rukh recently dropped a monochrome picture, which shows his beard and long hair. Talking about Pathan, ‘War’ director Siddharth Anand is directing the film. The film is being billed as an action-thriller and is produced by Yash Raj Films. also stars Deepika Padukone and John abraham. The film is scheduled for 2022 release.
