Leading fertilizer cooperative IFFCO on Wednesday said it will set up a nano urea liquid manufacturing plant in Argentina in partnership with two agencies – Institut Nacional de Associativismo Economia Social (INAES) and the cooperative Confederation of Argentina ‘Cooper’.

IFFCO, INAES and Cooper – entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the same, it said in a statement.

According to IFFCO, the trio will jointly analyze the feasibility of setting up a nano urea fertilizer manufacturing plant in Argentina with mutual cooperation.

They will explore cooperation in trade and investment in areas of mutual interest, including agrochemicals and agricultural inputs, to achieve sustainable development in both countries.

Earlier, IFFCO had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Brazilian Co-operative Organization (OCB) for this. On May 31, the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) introduced the world’s first ‘Nano Urea’ in liquid form and its production has started from the current month.

The MoU was signed by Cooper President Ariel Guarko, INAES Chairman Alexander Rog and IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar in a virtual meeting in the presence of various officials from all the groups.

He said that the use of nano urea will have a huge impact on the quality of ground water, significantly reduce global warming with positive impact on climate change and sustainable development.

Awasthi said, “This is a special moment for IFFCO as well as for Brazilian cooperatives as it will further strengthen cooperatives in the world.” He said that this innovative product would benefit the farmers of both the countries.

The scope of the MoU will provide opportunities for exchange of ideas and developing business relationships, educational visits for better understanding and opportunities as well as carrying out joint research and training activities.

They will share best practices, create mutual opportunities, provide visibility, develop professional relationships, create resources for better service delivery, innovate and strengthen cooperative relationships between them and their members, the statement said. do.
