The counselling at the Gorakhpur university commenced today, which is September 18. As per the reports of Local18, it is being done for various branches in BTech. It includes the courses of first-year Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME). The students have to appear for the process of spot counselling. According to Prof Umesh Yadav, the Director, Institute of Engineering and Technology, the registration was to be done at www.dduguadmission.in, the official website.

For the second year, the admission is being offered through lateral entry. Speaking further, Prof Yadav said the admissions will be based on the merit list of the university’s entrance examination as well as the JEE Main and CUET scores. It is mandatory for the candidates to complete the online registration to appear for counselling.

As per more information on the admissions, from September 19 and 20, the institution will be conducting admissions for new courses, which were introduced this year. The courses include MS (Artificial Intelligence), BCA (Machine Learning and Data Science) and BCA (Internet of Things). The admissions are scheduled to take place on the IET campus and more information for the same can be found on the official portal of the university.
