Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone was seen out and about in Mumbai on Sunday night, ahead of her due date. The actress, who is expecting her first baby with Ranveer Singh, had previously revealed that she is due in September. Deepika was spotted making her way to her car with her team surrounding her. Deepika was seen wearing a gorgeous white outfit as she made her way out.

In a video shared on Instagram, Deepika was seen interacting with her team as she made her way to her vehicle. For her evening out, she slipped into a white salwar-kameez, which showed off her baby bump. She tied her hair up into a neat bun. She completed her look with a pair of flats. Deepika announced her pregnancy in February this year. She took to Instagram and shared a post revealing she and Ranveer are set to become parents. In the same post, Deepika added that she’s due this September. Deepika has been subjected to strong reactions about her pregnancy since the announcement. While a majority of fans shower her with love and admiration, a small section of netizens has been speculating about her baby bump. However, the actress has chosen to maintain her grace and poise in the face of such unwarranted criticism.

Meanwhile, a source told Times Now that Deepika is determined to be a hands-on mother and has even turned down the third season of The White Lotus to focus on her family. A source close to the actress shared, “Deepika loves children and wants to be there for her baby. She’s not someone who would rely on nannies; she plans to be fully involved in parenting.”

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, where she portrayed a pregnant woman. The film was directed by Nag Ashwin. Deepika is set to return for the second part of the film.
