Apple Intelligence Release Delay Won’t Affect iPhone 16 Launch This Year: Know More – News18

Apple’s AI delay is not going to make a difference for the iPhone 16 launch

Apple is delaying the launch of its AI features but the new iPhone supporting these tools will be launching at its usual schedule.

Apple’s big AI launch was supposed to happen with the iPhone 16 series in September but it seems the company is now going ahead with its usual launch plan for the new iPhones. Reports say that the delay in release of Apple Intelligence via iOS 18 is not going to affect Apple’s plans to launch the iPhone 16 series which is expected to go through sometime in September.

Earlier it was estimated that Apple will want to use the big iPhone 16 platform to introduce AI on its devices and demo it publicly as well. Instead, Bloomberg claims that the company will launch the AI-centric hardware at the September event and later AI features will come to the compatible iPhones in October, as it was mentioned earlier this week.

The iPhone 16 launch event is expected to be product-rich, with many hopeful of seeing four new iPhone 16 models, along with AirPods 3 Pro and some other big reveals.

AI For Apple

The previous Bloomberg report said the delay will basically help Apple to fix any bugs in the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 versions, done via the developer and the beta program over the next few weeks.

iOS 18.1 developer beta is already available for testing and people have given their detailed feedback based on the new-look Siri, and other AI-centric features coming to more people in the next few months.

Apple will surely want to avoid major lapses at its end, and ensure the AI is not only accurate but also preserve its promise of keeping the data secure.

Going by the recent events, it is better that Apple delays the AI update for iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 rather than go ahead with a half-baked update that brings more problems for the company than get people excited for the future.
